A way to get in front of fresh faces everyday, which then allows me to take my time and develop a business relationship first.

Then you increase your number of sign-ups and develop a steady pace of growing your business. Because there is more than enough people on the internet to reach fresh faces everyday. We all know the story of "The Young Bull, And The Old Bull". Its the same concept, we need to start thinking like that old bull.

If you really want to get technical, its applying an old method to a new way of finding the right people. The old method of building relationships with the ability to instantly target market the people your looking for, using the internet as the vessel. So maybe its time to step back and take a look at how your marketing your business.

Give yourself an honest grade. Are you giving your business the fair opportunity to grow? Are you satisfied with what you've produced from marketing your business? And do those results lead you to believe that you have "the upper hand" over your competitors?

If you can't answer that last question with a definite yes. Then you must increase your effectiveness in marketing, and the only way you're going to accomplish that is through further educating yourself. That is the true way to "gaining the upper hand".
